Birding Hike at Mieske Ponds: Sunday, June 14, 8-11am. (Jeff lead)
Join members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club for a walk around the Mieske Ponds at Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. Walk the dikes surrounding the ponds and remnant savannah and grasslands. Opportunity for both marsh and woodland species. There are no designated trails, dike tops are gravel/grass.
Meet at the back parking lot of Swan Road and Mieske Ditch Road. GPS coordinates are (43.495676, -88.67392). Free and no registration required. Walk of 1-2 miles. Bring water and binoculars.
