Starry Night on the Marsh: Let’s Get Wild! is coming back to the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center on Friday, September 5, from 5:30-8:30pm.
This family-friendly event, which focuses on night time wildlife and astronomy, starts promptly at 5:30pm, and it promises a full schedule of fun activities and hands-on experience opportunities. DNR staff at Horicon Marsh, Friends of Horicon Marsh volunteers and multiple Dodge County libraries will provide a wide array of activities and crafts from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Members of the Northern Cross Science Foundation will be on site with their telescopes to start solar viewing at 5:30 pm and will stay until 8:30pm (weather permitting). There will also be a campfire with concessions and the 1.3 mile Storybook Trail will be illuminated for a magical story walk until 8:30pm!
Don’t miss this fun and educational event! Participating libraries include libraries from the following communities: Beaver Dam, Brownsville, Horicon, Hustisford, Juneau and Mayville. Admission is free, small concessions available and discounted rate to the Explorium of $3 per person.
The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located at N7725 Highway 28, Horicon, WI. State Highway 28 will be under construction during this time. The road is open to the education center or you can access the education center via Old Highway 28.
