The World Around Us: Science Labs: Wonderful Water, Thursday, August 6, 1-4pm
Certain living creatures act as environmental detectives and tell the story of the marsh’s water. Aquatic insects and frogs are called bioindicators and can tell us the health of Horicon Marsh. What we find can tell us if the marsh’s water is clean or polluted or somewhere in between. Come be a detective and see what we can scoop out of the marsh and learn about the chemical tests we use to learn about the marsh’s health!
No registration is required. The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located at N7725 Highway 28, Horicon, WI. For additional information please contact Liz Herzmann at 920-210-9054 or elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov.
