Medicinal Herb Class

Join the once per month (every 4th Thursday) medicinal herb education class offered by Certified Master Herbalist, Jennifer Thoreson! Typical discussion includes three different herbs, their medicinal properties, where to find them, and how to use them. We meet in the lower level classrooms of the Horicon Marsh Education Center located at N7725 Highway 28, Horicon at 6:00 PM. Class lasts about 1 hour with plenty of time for questions. Samples of the different herbs being discussed are usually available.
Thursday, August 22nd is the kick off and this class will NOT be about specific herbs, but the different preparations we can use to produce a useful end product. We will cover teas, extracts, and tinctures. This is a very basic introduction on these medicinal techniques. You will take home an example of these preparations. Due to the extra supplies needed, this class will be a little more expensive than our normal $10 class. You will also get full printouts with complete instructions for developing your own recipes at home.
