DESCRIPTION:Birding Mayville’s Ziegler Park: Saturday\, September 19\, 8-10am (Brad and Michael to lead) \nSince “discovering” this 70-acre gem\, it has been a superstar birding location (174 species e-Birded here). Ziegler Park has 72.3 acres of parkland; most of the parkland is mature wooded forest along the east branch of the Rock River with a 1.5-mile nature trail. This Mayville City Park is a great spot for many birds but particularly warblers in the spring. SUMMARY:Starry Night on the Marsh
DESCRIPTION:Starry Night on the Marsh: Harvest Moon and Starlit Skies is coming back to the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center on Friday\, September 25\, from 5-8pm. \nThis family-friendly event\, which focuses on night time wildlife and astronomy\, starts promptly at 5:00pm\, and it promises a full schedule of fun activities and hands-on experience opportunities. DNR staff at Horicon Marsh\, Friends of Horicon Marsh volunteers and multiple Dodge County libraries will provide a wide array of activities and crafts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  But the fun doesn’t stop there!  From 6:30-8pm\, there will also be a campfire with concessions and the 1.3 mile Storybook Trail will be illuminated by candlelight for a magical story walk. \nDon’t miss this fun and educational event! Participating libraries include are from the following communities: Beaver Dam\, Brownsville\, Juneau\, Iron Ridge\, Waupun\, Horicon and Mayville.  Admission is free.  There will be small concessions and the Blue Yummy food truck will be on site so bring the family for dinner and fun on the marsh! \nThe Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located at N7725 Highway 28\, Horicon\, WI.
