SUMMARY:Starry Night on the Marsh
DESCRIPTION:Starry Night on the Marsh: Harvest Moon and Starlit Skies is coming back to the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center on Friday\, September 25\, from 5-8pm. \nThis family-friendly event\, which focuses on night time wildlife and astronomy\, starts promptly at 5:00pm\, and it promises a full schedule of fun activities and hands-on experience opportunities. DNR staff at Horicon Marsh\, Friends of Horicon Marsh volunteers and multiple Dodge County libraries will provide a wide array of activities and crafts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  But the fun doesn’t stop there!  From 6:30-8pm\, there will also be a campfire with concessions and the 1.3 mile Storybook Trail will be illuminated by candlelight for a magical story walk. \nDon’t miss this fun and educational event! Participating libraries include are from the following communities: Beaver Dam\, Brownsville\, Juneau\, Iron Ridge\, Waupun\, Horicon and Mayville.  Admission is free.  There will be small concessions and the Blue Yummy food truck will be on site so bring the family for dinner and fun on the marsh! \nThe Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located at N7725 Highway 28\, Horicon\, WI. DESCRIPTION:Bird Banding Demonstration \nSaturday\, October 10\, 8-11am. \nLicensed Master Bander\, Jana Gedymin—Research Manager at Riveredge Nature Center—and a team of skilled volunteers  will be joining us at Horicon Marsh as they demonstrate songbird capture and banding techniques.
