Get in Touch with Nature: Trumpeter Swans
Tuesday, October 14, 6-8pm
In 1933, extinction seemed imminent for the largest species of waterfowl with a wingspan between 6 – 10 feet and a 27–35 pound weight. Reintroduction of this beautiful Trumpeter swan has successfully restored the population to over 63,000 birds of which an estimated 11,000 are in Wisconsin. Its comeback fills us with hope and resilience. Come and paint this majestic waterfowl that makes a sound like a French horn.
Limit of 20, minimum of 6 people to hold the class. $15 fee for each person painting. Register and pay below or stop into the education center.
Time 2 hours
Cost $15
Ages 6-99+ (an adult must supervise children)
